The Times has been attached to a letter-writing campaign from Cape and Islands residents asking GBH to reconsider their decision to sell the CAI radio station in Woods Hole. Meanwhile, a local village association has announced that they are starting to raise money to buy the building themselves. Read more

Sailing north
|
After facing delays, the freight ferry Barnstable is sailing up north and is expected to arrive in Fairhaven by this Saturday. The much-anticipated vessel is one of three sister ferries that will be serving the Islands. The Barnstable will sail the Nantucket route, and the Aquinnah, scheduled to depart from Alabama next month, will serve the Vineyard route. Read more

The winter community-supported agriculture program starts this month. For $575 you can get your share of carrots, spinach, green beans, onions, potatoes and much more until mid-February. Your money will also fund regenerative farming practices and feed the Island Food Pantry's 5,200 registered clients. Read more
