Porcelain War This Friday, Circuit Arts will screen the Sundance 2024 Grand Jury Prize documentary "Porcelain War." It highlights the beauty of art and nature and the brutality of war. In the film, Slava Leontyev shapes bodies of small porcelain figures. His partner, Anya Stasenko, paints the creatures inspired by nature and flights of invention, and their good friend Andrey Stefanov films their lives in a war-torn country as the Russians invade their homeland, Ukraine. The film is both contemplative and nerve-wracking, striking viewers with the human price of violent conflict. Read more about the
documentary here.
