Today is World Press Freedom Day, established by the United Nations to commemorate the role the press plays in society and remembers journalists who lost their lives while pursuing truth. Coincidentally, May 3, 1984 is also when the MV Times published its first paper,
meaning today is our 40th anniversary! We’ll be continuing to cover the issues that matter to the Vineyard community. If your friend sent you this, sign up for yourself here.
