In what was freshly named the Battle in the Atlantic last year, Nantucket and Vineyard teams fought it out on the fields this past weekend. The matchups also happened to coincide with Homecoming. The girls’ soccer team continued their impressive season with another win, and seniors will go undefeated against their Whaler opponents. The boys lost after a shootout. Read more

While kids have been back at school for the last month, the Tisbury School held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday for its two-year building and renovation project. Our reporter on the scene says a big hit for the new project is the new gymnasium, the first of its kind in Tisbury. Read more

A recent federal grant will go a long way toward a renovation of the airport’s terminal. Project details are not set in stone, but goals in mind include enclosing the outdoor tent waiting space, room for two security lines, and upgrading failing cooling and heating systems. Read more
