Dukes County Commissioners are planning a pressure campaign against the head of the Steamship Authority, citing recent failures like canceled ferries, delays, and over-budgeted projects. The comments come with the Steamship board set to discuss the general manager’s contract tomorrow. Read more


Calls for resignation over Chilmark tennis

A recent call for the resignation of Chilmark Town Affairs Council president Suellen Lazarus comes with new accounts of poor conduct among tennis and Chilmark Community Center management, as well as the claim that former board members are prepared to involve the Massachusetts State Ethics Commission. Management has denied the accusations. This is not the first call for resignation in recent weeks, as council members have been writing both against and in support of management. Read more
