A Duke’s County Sheriff’s sergeant has been placed on administrative leave following charges of domestic assault and battery and rape. Edgartown resident Craig Daley was arrested on Sunday and arraigned Monday morning in the Edgartown District Courthouse. He pleaded not guilty on all counts and will be held at the Duke’s County Correctional Facility until a dangerousness hearing, scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 12. Read more

The Tisbury planning board is glad last to have its administrator back after the town ended her paid leave in November. Amy Upton returned last week, but will be working remotely this year. However, she told the town last month that she did not feel safe returning to town offices, citing a hostile work environment from town officials. Read more

Another restaurant seems to be making its way to Tisbury. The Martha’s Vineyard Commission approved a proposed American-style restaurant where the Stone Bank sits on Main Street. The project is being pursued by Reid “Sam” Dunn, who also opened the El Barco taquería this summer. Read more
