|
|
Fine Fettle, the Island’s only medical dispensary, is courting a new buyer. While details and permissions for the sale are being worked out, the sale of the businesses’ medical and recreational licenses would be included. The interested buyer has been identified as Black Harbor Group, LLC. Read more

SSA shelves site
The Steamship Authority decided to pause work on its new website, which was in its final stages, until they are they are able to implement a new reservation system. So far, over two years and nearly $3 million have been spent on the project. The decision is expected to further delay the timeline for a new site. Read more

A Spring Street compromise?
A recent Tisbury zoning board of appeals meeting was a rare opportunity for residents to ask questions of the developer of a controversial property intended for workforce housing. Townspeople will also get a chance to ask questions next month. In the meantime, on the matter of a stop-work order, the board has asked the developer and a direct abutter to consider a compromise. Fits the billLast week we asked you to name the Lagoon Pond pelican, while it’s still here. Though I doubt the bird answers to a name, I think we have a winner. Credit to Victor Colantonio for pitching the name “Scoop,” as “pelicans scoop fish; newspapers ‘scoop’ stories.” Believe it or not, it’s the first name I thought of.
