The beloved Linda Jean's restaurant in Oak Bluffs is changing hands to Mike Santoro, who plans to open "Michael's" in its place. Marc Hanover, who established Linda Jean's over 50 years ago, said he has full confidence in the new management. Michael's will be open year-round for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and will serve seafood at night. In addition to classic breakfast options, Santoro looks forward to offering healthier breakfast items like avocado toast and "power bowls" with a quinoa base. Read more

Nantucket officials have heard from Vineyard Wind that testing could be underway on a radar system that would allow nighttime blinking red lights to turn on only when airplanes are nearby, not constantly, as they've been doing recently. Read more

A first for the Vineyard wrestling program |
High school wrestler Kevin Almeida competed at the MIAA division three state championships last Friday, held at Foxborough High School. This is just the latest in an impressive first two years for the school's wrestling program. Despite coming away 0-2, Almeida's qualification has set a new bar for his Vineyard peers. Read more
