Green-er pastures

After pursuing his dream job just two years ago, Vineyard high school graduate Cooper Wilson (left) earned a dramatic first place victory last month at the Mexico Open. Caddying for Brian Campbell, the world’s 104th-ranked golfer, the two earned their first PGA Tour title, securing a spot in the Masters as well as opening doors for future major tournaments like the US and British Opens. Calls for Steamship change

Vineyard representatives to the Steamship Authority recently met with Islanders to hear, and answer, some of their concerns. Many Islanders wanted clarifications on how the ferry line is structured and what it would take to make changes to its board. Islanders were reminded why it might not be such a good idea for the state to take over the ferry service. Read more

A housing garden

A development in Edgartown near the Triangle would provide nearly 100 bedrooms, 20 percent of them considered affordable. Those would be built in 10 separate buildings. There’s also a pool planned. But residents have concerns, chief among them an increase in traffic and an increase in nitrogen loading. Read more
