In 2012, four percent of year-round Islanders made over $200,000 per year. In the latest housing needs assesment from the M.V. In the Victorian era, the Vineyard’s seasonal visitors became obsessed with seaweed. The craze came from popular ideas of self-improvement, leading to seaweed shops, collections, and so many arts and crafts. Research librarian Bow Van Riper will show you what everyone was talking about 150 years ago. It’s 5–6 pm, 151 Lagoon Pond Road, Vineyard Haven. Register here

Tomorrow |
We enjoy truly picturesque views on the Vineyard. For proof, here’s Paul Doherty’s show of selected photographs. He writes, “On the Island, every morning and every evening offer new and unique moments that, while fleeting, can be captured before they vanish.’ It’s at 11:30 am, with pie(!), at 34 Pine Tree Road in Vineyard Haven.
