A nervousness over the Derby
In other Derby news, we hear from some that there is a nervousness. While registration numbers have so far been strong, there’s a worry about fewer fishermen coming to the Island for the festivities this year and into the future. Namely the concern is over the lack of access for oversand vehicles on Chappy, but also a decline in public access around the Island in general. Read more

Maybe not so fast. The production team behind a short horror film wants to film in a number of Oak Bluffs locations, but the town charges $1,000 a day to shoot. For a production with a small budget, that could be a bridge too far. We wonder what Jaws was charged. Read more
