Here’s what’s happening on Martha’s Vineyard today.

Election Day arrives Anyone else feel like this has been the longest election cycle? Well, it’s finally here. We checked with town clerks across the Island to see how many people have voted early so far. Reporter Abigail Rosen has that story. Meanwhile, you’ve probably seen the signs popping up all over Vineyard Haven in support of Question 5. Who is behind the campaign? No one has registered at the town clerk’s office, which may be a violation of campaign finance law. Reporter Rich Saltzberghas this story.
Looking to diversify West Tisbury’s diversity task force did a survey and it didn’t come as much of a surprise that the membership on town boards lacks the kind of diversity they would like. The survey also looked at the driving forces behind the lack of diversity and how the task force might go about recruiting more candidates to raise their hands to serve the community. Trust unveiled a new neighborhood of affordable housing in Tisbury known as Kuehn’s Way. The development has been years in the making and faced a lot of hurdles, but soon people will be moving into their new homes. Reporter Eunki Seonwoo has this story.
