Not seeking re-election With annual town meetings and elections coming up in the spring, some town officials have announced in time for nomination paper deadlines that they won’t be seeking another term. Both Chilmark select board chair Bill Rossi and West Tisbury moderator Dan Waters are stepping down and ready to pass the torch. Read more here.
Back on the committee Former Edgartown School committee member Kimberly Kirk will be returning to the board following the resignation of committee member Laura Seguin. Last month, town officials chose Kirk as Seguin’s temporary replacement, citing her experience and knowledge about school committees. Here’s that story.
New preschool, voters? Chilmark is eyeing the opportunity for a new preschool, but it will need to take a proposed plan to a special town meeting
later this month. The facility would help with the growing up-Island enrollment numbers. Read more here.
