Oversand vehicles coming to Chappy? It’s taken a long time, but it finally looks like there’s progress in the review of access for oversand vehicles at the Trustees of Reservations’ Chappy properties. The public hearing has been going since the fall. Some changes have been made since then, and a final decision may be coming next month. Read more here.

Aquinnah candidates debate Two-time select board incumbent in Aquinnah, Tom Murphy is facing a challenger in May’s annual town election: Jennette Vanderhoop. At a forum held this week, Vanderhoop says she’ll bring young energy to the board and she’ll be a voice for the Wampanoag people. Murphy, meanwhile, touted his ability to help the town fiscally during his tenure. Read our coverage here.

Today: Transport to a 1920s English seaside town in the mystery comedy film "Wicked Little Letters," starring Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley. It's based on a true story about anonymous letters being sent to fellow residents, which prompts a national uproar and an investigation by the town's women. Film Center in Vineyard Haven, 7:30 pm, and additional times over the weekend.

This weekend: On Saturday, join other volunteers at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury for a Tree Planting Day, 9 am to 12 pm. Down-Island, it's Independent Bookstore Day at Edgartown Books, with author events and a prize drawing, 10 am to 6 pm. There's also the Annual Earth Day Beach Clean-up by the Vineyard Conservation Society, 10 am to 12 pm. At the Oak Bluffs library, there's an open call for a Community Piano Recital, 1 to 3 pm. Up-Island at the West Tisbury library, join Constance Messmer for Psychospiritual Empowerment, 3:30 pm. It's all fashion and swagger at the Film Center with Exhibition on Screen: John Singer Sargent, 4 pm. At the Edgartown library, join everyone for
an evening of Vineyard Poets Read, 6 pm.
On Sunday, help the Ag Society on their Ag Hall Spring Clean-up Day and enjoy lunch from the grill, 10 am to 1 pm. With pre-registration, you can stay at the Ag Hall for a Compost Workshop by Roxanne Kapitan of Garden Wisdom, 1 pm. For a
virtual event by the Vineyard Haven library, listen to Tales of Now & Zen by awardwinning storyteller Motoko, 2 pm. To learn ways to have restorative sleep, join Jacqueline Foster at the West Tisbury library for Ayurveda for Deep Rest, 2:30 pm. For a fun adventure at Edgartown Cinema, catch "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire," starring Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd, 4 pm. In the evening, enjoy selections of reggae music by M.V. Community Radio, at 96.7 lpfm or online, 8 pm. Have a good weekend!
