Quote of the Day "It’s important for everybody to realize that the problem didn’t just start overnight or involve one person, and the solution is going to be the same thing [...] It’s going to involve all of us looking out for the water quality and will probably still take a while. But we all have to be part of the solution." — Former director of M.V. Shellfish Group, Rick Karney, on the importance of environmental protection in response to the screening of "A Passion for Oysters" at the Film Center last nightHot Topic Comment"While we are on the subject, can you repave the rest of the bike path from WT east? It has not been repaved in more than a quarter-century." — Al Lewis responding to the installation of a shared-use path counter for the Beach Road Shared Use PathHot Topic Letter"These remembrances are as clear as though they happened yesterday. And their return to the Island and region is right around the corner. We’ve seen them here as early as March 14. While hearing the pinkletinks peeping might be the first indication, the return of the osprey is a significant indication of an incoming spring. Read that story here.
