Fix Five Corners Vineyard Haven business owners, anxious to improve flooding at Five Corners, shared their struggles with inundation. The business owners also
heard of pending state opportunities to address the intersection, and wanted to work together to represent their interests to the state. Read more here.
Right whale entanglement tied to Maine NOAA announced today that the rope entangled on a right whale that washed ashore dead late last month originated from Maine. The investigation is still ongoing and the full necropsy hasn’t been released yet. Conservation organizations were quick to condemn the northern state’s lobster industry. Read more here.
A miraculous Valentine’s It is Valentine’s Day and yesterday was an intense snow storm. That left a Vineyard florist somewhat in a bind as they tried to
get their flowers out to the masses. We hear from one Chilmark couple, who — despite the odds — got a pleasant surprise: their dozens of roses were delivered to their front steps. Read that story here.
