Got a minute?
Here’s what’s happening on Martha’s Vineyard today.
There were reports on social media of Islanders feeling some shakes from a 4.7-magnitude quake reported in New Jersey. Island first responders confirmed there were no reports of damage here. But with a nor’easter yesterday, an earthquake today, and a solar eclipse on Monday, we wonder what else is coming. If your friend sent you this, sign up for yourself here.

Tis the season
Town meeting in Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, and West Tisbury will be held on Tuesday next week. There are some game changers on the warrant: substantial zoning in Oak Bluffs that would provide more space for businesses; a "party bylaw" in Edgartown; and West Tisbury looks to enact a more environmentally friendly building code. Get the details here.

Support the youth
There are two plays to check out this weekend. The Charter School is putting on a production that is a parody of the Harry Potter series. We get the lowdown from students of the production here. And then at the Tisbury School, it’s the instant Disney classic, "Moana." Read details for that production here.
You’re hired!
Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School hosted its annual job fair this week. About 60 local businesses and organizations, including local police departments, were on hand. And students — some off to college next year — were on the prowl. Read that story here.
