Musical ferries?
A proposal by Beach Road Weekend promoter Adam Epstein to have a ferry diverted from Oak Bluffs to Vineyard Haven during the three-day music festival got some pushback from the Steamship Authority board on Tuesday. Epstein asked for the diversion for safety reasons in helping concert goers get off the Island. Reporter Rich Saltzberg has this story.
Lyme dancing
Last week, we told you about Pfizer’s plans to conduct clinical research on the Island for a Lyme disease vaccine. On Monday, the company received permission from Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School’s committee to park their trailer at the high school football field parking lot to conduct the research. Meanwhile, the board also discussed next steps in the process of getting into the state funding process for a new high school. Reporter Lucas Thors has this update.

Veteran moves
At a picnic held Saturday at the Agricultural Hall in West Tisbury, veterans were provided with information about affordable housing that’s in the works in Oak Bluffs. Along with housing, there would be services to assist the veterans on site. Saturday was also an opportunity to recognize some of the folks who go to bat for veterans on a regular basis. News intern Natalie Aymond has this story.

The West Tisbury select board meets at 4:30 pm Wednesday. Remote access. Here is the agenda.

The Dukes County Commission also meets at 4:30 pm Wednesday. Remote access. Here is the agenda.

‘Only Murders in the Building’
Ever wonder why some folks will go to sleep with an episode of "Forensic Files" or "America’s Most Wanted" as their white noise? Why are people so fascinated with true crime? Intern Anna Nesser writes a recent What Are You Watching about "Only Murders in the Building," with Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short. This unique show plays out with the three crime-obsessed main characters becoming the center of an exciting and often risible adventure to catch a killer.
