The letter coincided with a well-attended show of support in Boston. Read more here.

Staying in?
Here's a fun way to make an alternative to pasta: Spaghetti Squash with Sauce, a recipe from Edible Vineyard co-editor Connie Berry. The sky's the limit when it comes to tossing in your own ingredients, and you can save the squash seeds for toasting as a snack.

If you have a recipe to share with the community, send it along with a photo of the dish, and a brief backstory if you have one, to recipes@mvtimes.com.

A flourishing off-season gallery
There’s a little gallery tucked away across from the Black Dog Tavern in Vineyard Haven. And unlike many galleries on the Island, the Miner Family Gallery is open year-round, hosting a revolving display of work by both established and lesser-known artists. Currently Miner is showing a selection of his work from his son. Read that story here.
